Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Pariwell helps families keep track of an ageing parent's health. Parents send readings on WhatsApp; their children get a weekly report. This policy explains, in plain words, what information we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. Pariwell is run by [Your company's legal name] ("we"), [Registered address].
What we collect
- From the person who signs up (usually a son or daughter): name, WhatsApp number, email if given, where they live, and what they tell us about their parent: how they call them, town, language, health conditions, medicines, the doctor's targets, a local contact, and brothers' and sisters' WhatsApp numbers.
- From the parent, on WhatsApp: their WhatsApp number, the messages they send us, photos of their blood pressure machine or sugar meter, the readings in them, "1" replies after medicine, voice notes, and photos of prescriptions or lab reports.
- About the parent's doctor, if you choose to involve them: the doctor's name and WhatsApp number (or email), and any reply the doctor sends us.
- Basic technical information: our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (for example, when a page was opened) for security and to fix problems. We don't use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or ad pixels.
Why we use it
- To run the service: read the readings, send medicine reminders, write the weekly report, and send it to the people you chose.
- For safety: if a reading crosses the "call me right away" numbers you gave us, we tell the parent to call their doctor or 112, and we tell the family.
- To check readings: a member of our team looks at the photos to confirm the numbers.
- To run and improve Pariwell: for example, counting how many families use it. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Consent
The parent's information is used only after the parent agrees on WhatsApp. The person who signs up confirms that the parent knows about Pariwell. The parent can stop at any time by replying STOP, and anyone in the family can ask us to delete everything (see "Your choices").
Who sees it
- Your family: the person who signed up, and brothers or sisters they added, receive the weekly report and alerts. Anyone with the private report link can open the report, so please don't share it outside the family. If it was shared by mistake, ask us for a new link.
- The doctor: only if you asked for this at sign-up and the parent agreed, and only after the doctor joins.
- Our team: only the people who run Pariwell, to check readings and help you.
- Companies that help us run the service, only for that purpose:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and file storage
- Meta (WhatsApp): delivering messages
- Anthropic: reading the numbers in photos. Under its commercial terms, it doesn't use our data to train its models.
- Our payment provider, when you pay for a month
- An email provider, only if reports are emailed to a doctor
- The law: we share information if the law requires it.
These providers may store or process information outside India, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security.
How long we keep it
We keep the information while your family uses Pariwell. If you stop, or ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days. Copies in our backups disappear within a further 30 days. We keep only a record that a deletion happened, with no personal or health information.
Your choices and rights
- See or correct what we hold: ask us and we'll send it to you, or fix it.
- Delete everything: ask us on WhatsApp or by email and we'll delete all of it.
- Stop at any time: the parent can reply STOP; the doctor can reply STOP.
- Withdraw consent: stopping doesn't affect what was done before.
- Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you can't.
- Complain: to our grievance officer below, and, in India, to the Data Protection Board. If you live in a US state with health-data privacy rights, you have the rights described here too.
Security
Information is encrypted when it travels and when it's stored. Only our team can open the admin tools, behind a password. Report links are long, random and private. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Not a medical or emergency service
Pariwell copies readings and compares them with the targets the doctor set. It doesn't diagnose, treat or replace a doctor. In an emergency in India, call 112.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you on WhatsApp before it applies.
